Groton Parks and Recreation is investing in a fantastic piece of equipment to keep the shoreline sand and beach volleyball courts at Esker Point Beach clean and free of debris and seaweed – a Barber Surf Rake Model 400HD!  The piles of seaweed that wash up on shore are a constant challenge throughout the beach season.  By donating to the Esker Point Beach Fund you can help with the $5,000 down-payment on the machine to ensure that it will be on-site and in operation in April of 2018, just a few weeks away.
